Wings Over the Rockies bird show is where you come face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful hawks, falcons, eagles and owls!  Using falconry techniques that are thousands of years old along with exciting new technologies, we will show you how these birds fly and hunt right before your eyes.  Learn the differences in each species, the issues they face living in the world today, and how you can help.

Opportunity

Meet us for a Photo-op after each show. Bird handlers located around the La Plata County Fairgrounds Rodeo facility will answer your questions and give you the photographic opportunity of a lifetime.

Conservation

Gain a new perspective of the desperate plight some of the birds face as more and more habitat disappears, plus you'll hear the efforts being made to bring back species from the brink of extinction. See what you can do to help them continue to thrive.
