About Raptors wild inc.
Established in 2018, Raptors Wild, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to public education in the conservation and natural biology of wild raptors. Many of the birds in our show came to us after being retired from breeding projects around the country.
You’ll walk away from our live bird shows with a new perspective of the desperate plight some of the birds face as more and more habitat disappears, as well as the efforts being made to bring back species from the brink of extinction. See what you can do to help them continue to thrive. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the future expansion of the program. Your donations support the care and feeding of these magnificent raptors. Read "Falcon Show Takes Flight at La Plata County Fairgrounds", published in the Durango Herald on June 19, 2019. Founders Mike Fauteaux and Greg Rabourn have each been falconers for more than 40 years. They are licensed Master Falconers in New Mexico, and are experienced training and hunting with many different birds of prey.
Besides being Master Falconers, Mike and Greg hold federal raptor propagation permits. This allows them to breed in captivity many of the birds you will see in the program.
